Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, who had traveled to Jammu to meet cloudburst and landslide victims from Kishtwar, deferred his planned site visit due to continuing safety concerns posed by fresh landslides in the district .

He met with approximately 16 injured individuals receiving care at Jammu’s Government Medical College. Emphasizing Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s personal concern for the affected region, Singh highlighted the central government's commitment to offering medical and logistical support .
