Deputy Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir Surinder Choudhary conducted an on-ground visit to areas in Kathua severely impacted by recent cloudburst rains. During his visit, he met with displaced families and local officials to assess the extent of damage caused by sudden flash floods and landslides. The Dy CM assured the residents of full government support, including immediate relief measures, compensation packages, and accelerated restoration of infrastructure.
He emphasized that the administration is prioritizing the rehabilitation and reconstruction efforts, promising swift action to rebuild homes, repair damaged roads, and restore essential services such as electricity and water supply.
